Brooklyn Film Festival

Life in Portraiture

The Brooklyn Film Festival, a globally recognized non-profit organization, approached us to develop a fresh visual identity for their 2019 event. This comprehensive rebranding project encompassed redesigning the logo, refreshing the color palette, and conceptualizing the overall look and feel for various printed materials such as festival programs, passes, and more.

In collaboration with Robyn Makinson

Drawing inspiration from the overlapping circles in the logo, a representation of both the camera lens and the double 'O' in Brooklyn, we developed a heavily typographic aesthetic and used the circular shapes to create negative space and unique cut outs. Color inspiration came from the iconic Williamsburg Bridge, combining a soft 'steel' blue and a rusty pink tone.
